One of the biggest mistakes in direct sellingIs trying to build an amazing relationship with every person in your organization. Direct selling is a relationship business… Why wouldn’t I try and build great relationships with everyone? I know some of you may night enjoy this next part… But I want to be direct with you. There are two types of people in direct sellingThe Chickens… And the eagles. The chickens are the ones who are never going to do anything. They may talk a big game; however, they produce little to no results. No matter the relationship you create with them, they never build. Now let me set things straight… You may have people in your group and I have people in mine, who produce nothing at all and you have a great relationship with them because they’re cool people. They may be successful in other areas but are never going to do anything in your business… That’s great! But as far as focusing to build relationships in business, it’s going to be with those who produce. The Eagles… The eagles are what Art Williams calls the “stars” of direct sellingThese are the people who have real potential. Those of us that get up and fly. Eagles build teams, attend training, and produce results! Lock up a relationship with eagles. Call them to catch up… Invite them to play golf… Invite them over for dinner… Buy them a book… Do something non-business related to show them you care about them and want to build a relationship that’s more than just money. Why? The 2 Reasons you want to build relationships with eagles in direct sellingNumber 1: It financially makes sense and increases your relationship capital in life. Becoming friends with an eagle will help you soar to greater heights. Number 2: When they get met with challenges – if you’ve built that solid relationship – they are way less likely to quit. They associate quitting to quitting not just on the business, but on a friend… On a relationship. I’ve made the mistake of not creating these powerful relationships, and I’ve had the fortune of creating them. This strategy is going to make you a lot of money based on retaining these key performers in your organization. Pour into your “star” players and they will pour into you and the organization. RememberChickens peck at the ground and only dream of taking flight… Eagles soar through the open skies taking you higher than you thought possible. The post 8 Calls to Action that Initiate New Relationships with Customers and Collaborators appeared first on Copyblogger. via Copyblogger https://ift.tt/2h9Bxra Excuses are a huge contributing factor to why you’re not succeeding in businessIf you’re not doing what you know you should like… Eating right… Making the call… Working on the project… Going to the gym… You’re making excuses. What happens is, unless we have the awareness to call an excuse what it really is, we let those excuses rob us of our success. These excuses cause us and allow us to not take action. I these excuses all the time:“Matt, I don’t speak as well as you do” You don’t need to speak as I do… You need to speak as you do! I sucked when I first started doing videos and speaking on stage. I was terrible! The more I practiced… The better I got. “Matt, I don’t have time!” Bullshit! You make time for whatever priorities you have in your life. What are our excuses really saying about us?They’re saying, “I’m a little bitch!”. “I’m too fearful to do a video.” “What if nobody watches my videos?” What am I going to do to overcome the fact that I’m a little bitch? Because I don’t want to be one… I want to be strong… Powerful… Confident. I want to continually break out of my comfort zone so that even if I suck really bad, I will eventually get good. The only way to get good at something is to stop making excuses and suck at it…At least for a little bit. If your excuse is… “I don’t know how!” That just means you’re a lazy bitch. Do you want to continue being a lazy bitch? No! Go do something and figure it out. Get leverage on yourself and create powerful reasons to not be a lazy ass. How to get leverage on yourself to stop making excusesAsk yourself: What’s going to happen over the next year, five years, ten years, twenty years if I continue being a lazy sack of shit? What are the negative consequences? Am I okay with the negative consequences? The excuse we often make is because we are fearful. I know this because I used to be the guy to always make excusesI’ve been the procrastinator… the fearful little bitch. A person who can’t seem to get through his fears and self-doubts. But I figured out how to get leverage and set some goals. Not just yearly goals. Not just monthly goals or weekly goals… But daily goals. If I don’t hold true to my daily commitments… It means I care more about my little precious feelings than giving value to other people and making a difference in people’s lives. The reason why I was able to break through and have success in network marketing is that I finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired, and I created enough positive reasons to take action and enough negative consequences to get over the things I was fearing. An excuse is a justification of holding on to our fears. A justification to stay in our comfort zone.Call it what it is. Identify what the real reason is and tackle it. Attack it. Create positive reasons to take action now, and negative consequences if you don’t. Go make it happen. If you want some advanced training on leadershipFeel free to hop over to LeadwithMatt.com. The post The 5 Types of Online Prospects, and How to Sell to Each of Them appeared first on Copyblogger. via Copyblogger https://ift.tt/2iz4r58 If You Don’t Have a Plan of Increasing Your IntelligenceYou are committed by your actions to remaining exactly the same as you are now. But that’s not entirely true, is it? It’s actually much worse than that… Why? The world is in a constant sprint and if you’re doing nothing, you’re getting left behind! You’re not growing. Think of a muscle. When you use your muscles, they grow… They get stronger. If you don’t… Your muscles start to atrophy, and you get weaker. Same with your mind! My Belief is that every single human being has the ability to become an intellectual genius because the mind has an infinite capacity to learnI don’t care what level you’re at… You can become an incredible genius because your mind has an infinite capacity to learn if you simply work on it. Ben Franklin says, “If you empty your wallet into your mind, your mind will fill up your wallet.” That’s why you can take away everything I have… All my money… My cars… But Leave me my mind… And I’ll get it all back! That’s why I’ve come up with the following strategy to constantly increase my intelligence: #1 One hour of input/day to increase intelligenceSpend at least one hour a day listening to something that helps you become better. It’s that simple. I can hear it already… “Matt, I don’t have enough time to dedicate one hour/day!” Do you commute to work every day? Go to the gym? Take showers? Use that time to listen to a podcast, audiobook, or something that benefits you. Find a way. #2 Write the information you’re learning down to increase intelligenceRealize that the weakest ink is stronger than the strongest memory. If you read a book ten years from now, you’ll likely forget almost everything in the book… If you write it down, it’s going to lock it in your brain. #3 One hour of output/day for increased intelligenceLearn an hour a day as if you are going to be required to train on the information that you just learned. How do you do an hour of output a day? You could do live videos… Teach someone close to you this information and get feedback… Teach your children… This will greatly accelerate your learning curve. Make it a priority in your life to associate yourself with other highly intelligent peopleThe people you associate yourself with are often huge contributors to who you become… If you hang around seven “broke” people, you’re the eighth… Hang around seven “dumb” people, sorry… you’re the eighth… So if you’re striving to increase your intelligence… Hang around people who are more intelligent than you. You’re going to get the motivation of increasing your intelligence because of their intelligence. Follow these steps and they will accelerate your journey towards becoming successful in every facet of your life. Become a production machine and you will never have to rely on motivation again… You’ve Been Lied to About MotivationMost of the network marketers out there will tell you that all you need to do to achieve success is get two people, that get two people, that get two people etc. or maybe they tell you a host of things like: All you have to do is enroll six people to get to a six-figure income… You have to become a good motivator… Do wake up motivation calls… or try a bunch of training calls… That stuff is great to do, but that is NOT how you duplicate and build a tribe of world-changers and high-achievers. The Secret I Learned After 24 Years About MotivationYou do not create momentum in your team by motivation… At least, by the standards we’ve been taught. In fact, often times “rah-rah’ motivational speeches just don’t work. I decided to try something different… I went into total production mode and put in 30 personal referrals in one month. You can imagine the momentum that created. You get group momentum AFTER you have personal momentum. Your team starts to see what is possible which creates the most important thing in an organization… Belief. Belief Is The Most Important Thing For MotivationIf people have belief in, not only you but in themselves… They will take massive action! But in order to instill this belief, you must take massive action. What is classified as massive action? Enough. What is enough? Thirty. If You Haven’t Personally Sponsored 30 People in Your Organization… You’re Not Really SeriousYou can never expect to have a hugely motivated team if you haven’t done at least 30 personals. Why? You don’t have the results to show your team you’re serious. Your group is not going to be excited because they’re not seeing their team grow. Now you don’t have to personally sponsor 30 people in your first month, however, there is a law. A law of compressed activity that states… The effort that you put in in a short period of compressed amount of time is going to pay you way more than the same amount of effort put in over an extended period of time.” Why is that true? Because everything is based on belief. And your team gains belief by seeing someone perform at a level above themselves. I’ve hit rank in my company three times… I don’t say this to impress you, but to impress upon you that it’s possible. My team sees me perform at a high level and think to themselves, “man, if he’s done it three times, surely I can do it once!”. If You Haven’t Hit Rank In Your Company, Motivation Is VERY DifficultYour group is probably thinking, “I can’t do it because you haven’t done it.” So as motivation for you… Aside from the large paycheck… and recognition… Realize that your team needs to see you hit rank. Do it for your team. Get into personal production mode and watch your team increase. Your organization will grow. Why? You gave them what they needed most. Inspiration and the belief that they could go do it themselves. If you want some advanced training on leadershipFeel free to hop over to LeadwithMatt.com.
